Profile

Forough Farrokhyar is an Associate Clinical Professor and Research Mentor in the Department of Surgery. She is also a Faculty Member of the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics and a member of the Hamilton Health Sciences/McMaster University Ethics Board.

Main research interests include the assessment of short-term and long-term outcomes of chronic conditions, examination of relationships between risk factors and outcomes, comparative studies (randomized controlled trials, cohort and case-control studies), systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Specific research areas have included orthopedic surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, evidence-based practice in surgery and gastroenterology.
